My Dearest Friend,
As I sit down today in my hostel room thinking about the Good-Bye I said to you an hour ago, I feel a tickle in my stomach and hundreds of memories flash on my mind.
I wanted to say a lot of things but it was kind of difficult to express at the moment when you were leaving so I decided to package my words in this blog. I am not quite sure if you are going to like it but it is my part of process of saying Bye-Bye to you.
I am so smart. I am so awesome. I am such an amazing person. I don’t know what you did to get me as your best friend. I think that was God rewarding you for all the good deeds of your past lives.
I am so extremely joyous that you are following your dreams, I know the road has been tough. At the same time, it is really heartbreaking to know that I will not see you often. We will Skype and call, but I will still miss meeting you for evening tea, making random dinner plans with you, and ditching you for ‘few’ of the those plans ‘unintentionally’.
You have been the best friend I could ask for. You were there to cheer me up when I was down. You were there to appreciate and celebrate when I achieved something. You were there to be my host when I missed home. You were there to listen to my useless rant when I just needed to let it out. You were there to guide me when I needed advice. I always had your back. Friends can come and go, but you are family and Family is forever.
Pune will not be same without you. But the memories that we shared will always be cherished. Whenever I will listen to ‘Mujh Me Tu’ or ‘Channa Mereya’, I will miss you. Whenever I will see somebody making that weird face, I will miss ‘Vikram expression’. Whenever I will handshake with someone, I will miss you. Whenever I will pass by Infosys, I will miss you. The list can go on forever.
I would like to thank you for changing me for the good and bringing some wonderful people in my life.
I would end here with the hope that our next reunion is just round the corner. See you soon. Wish you all the very best. Do miss me. 😉
P.S.: If you feel this was melodramatic, then you don’t know me. I can do much better. 😛
P.P.S: I am always there. Different time zones are not gonna make much of a difference.
